All of the staff that work at Hackett Equine are trained by Miri in handling and ground work so that all of the horses are not only learning when training in the arena but all of the time, in and out of the field, stables and when being bathed or groomed. Miri believes it is vital for every member of staff to feel confident and happy around every horse as this way every horse is handled with care and compassion.

Chris Gates - Farrier

As a predominantly bare foot yard it was vital for us to have conscientious farrier thats considerate of the anatomical needs of every horse. Chris’s kind gentle way with the horses aligns perfectly with our ethos at Hackett Equine. Whether the horse can be sustained barefoot or requires shoes Chris is open and honest with us with the horses needs at the forefront.

Fionulla O'neil

At Hackett Equine, our horses and ponies often arrive with stories woven not just in their behavior but also in their bodies. That's why having Fionulla as part of our team is absolutely essential. She's a specialist in myofascial release, focusing on the body's connective tissue. This tissue can retain tension patterns, even after behavioural changes have occurred, keeping the horses locked in their past states. Fionulla’s expertise in helping the horses release this stored tension in their fascia is integral to their progress and overall training.

Martin Fox W.W.A.E.D

EQUINE DENTAL TECHNICIAN
Martin’s years of working with horses enables him to be not only a wonderful horseman helping even the most nervous of horses with having their teeth rasped but to have a greater understanding of what the horses teeth mean to their ridden work. Often Martin is able to tell us the exact feeling we have been having in the ridden work and then work to solve it.

Mandy Olympus Saddlery

Mandy from Olympus Saddlery has many years of experience fitting Harry Dabbs and Jeffries Saddles, Mandy visits regularly to ensure all of my own horses but also the saddles of clients are consistently fitting and checked as their bodies change. Harry Dabbs Saddles are semi adjustable with many tree types to chose from making them a brilliant saddle brand for us and all the many shapes and sizes of horses on the yard.
